La nostra Storia
il nostro Futuro

"I see printmaking as a vibrant, living artistic language, capable of engaging with the present and adapting to new times with all its strength. My desire is to explore new ways of experiencing this art form, while preserving its essence and opening it up to contemporary possibilities."

 Yasamin Marzooghfarhani

What is La Talpa?

La Talpa (Italian for 'The Mole') is a meeting space for those who create art and wish to explore new ways of expression, for those who want to learn how to create their own, and for art lovers who want to experience it and take home works that represent the development of a thought. Here, art pieces are born and evolve like mole pups, transforming into unique and unrepeatable creations.

You'll find me at Via Misa 3/A, far from the modern hustle and bustle, in a peaceful green corner of Bologna, where I’ve crafted a welcoming space with my own hands, ready to inspire you and offer unforgettable experiences.

Who I Am

Origins:
Tehran, 1991.
Raised in my homeland, surrounded by culture and colors, every corner and scent has shaped who I am, weaving my roots into my personal and artistic journey.

High School Education:
Literature and Humanities, Isfahan.
During my studies, I discovered my passions: philosophy and logic, which intertwine thought and reason, and literature, which dances between words and worlds. Some teachings served as keys to unlock new doors of knowledge, guiding me to understand what truly inspires me.

University Education:
English Language and Literature, University of Kashan.
This period deepened my love for dramatic literature, as I was swept away by the waves of literary works. The teaching methodology focused on critical analysis and stimulating creativity by reinterpreting plays and bringing them to the stage.

Bachelor of Arts:
Printmaking and Etching Techniques, Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. Graduated with honors (110/110 cum laude).
During my early years in Italy, I learned fundamental principles that continue to guide my path today. Delving into printmaking traditions and exploring various techniques and materials, I realized the importance of theory before practical action. In the natural paper and color workshop, I discovered and honed my passion for natural elements, learning that patience and dedication in the artistic process bring invaluable rewards.

Awards:
Two scholarships at the International School of Florence for the advanced printmaking course and contemporary printmaking languages.

Artistic Expression:
I have exhibited my work in numerous national and international exhibitions, including Artefiera Bologna, the National Art Award in Sassari, the International Artist Book Exhibition in Udine, and the traveling exhibitions of "The Book Has Roots and Seeds." I also participated in the Giuseppe Maestri Printmaking Biennale in Bagnacavallo.

On the verge of master of Arts:
Printmaking and Etching Techniques, Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna.
This chapter is one of continuous exploration, experimentation, and growth. A key takeaway has been the focus on the entire creative process, emphasizing the value of every stage, including what is often discarded. Perhaps the most significant aspect has been the emphasis on bringing a work to life, from conception to the fine details of its presentation in the contemporary art world.

Personal Challenge:

multiple Sclerosis
This condition has sharpened my sensitivity, pushing me to find alternative paths whenever obstacles arise. The unpredictability and fluctuation of physical and mental abilities have taught me that things don't always go as planned, but it's possible to reinvent oneself and activate underused resources and sensitivities. When my vision blurs, touch becomes my guide. When my ability to walk or my reflexes diminish, I shift my creative approach. After all, even within limitations, transformative power can be found.

Current Project:
La Talpa.
It is more than an Art laboratory; it's a dream come to life.
